Smiths Hill Stage 3

Projects Details

The Smiths Hill Stage 3 Upgrade project is located on the Olympic Highway, a two-lane, two-way road that forms a state highway link starting at Hume Highway north of Albury through to the Mid-Western Highway servicing rural communities. This route provides an alternate road link between Sydney and Albury via Cowra and Wagga Wagga. The Smiths Hill Stage 3 project is 3.920 km in length and north of the Young township. The project involves curve improvements, shoulder and formation widening, pavement reconstruction and the addition of a southbound overtaking lane to improve road user safety and reduce pavement maintenance. This project, Stage 3 is the third stage in a three stage approach.

Stages 1 and 2 have been previously constructed.

Our Role

Rigore Engineering Services (Rigore) has been engaged by Transport for NSW to provide road designs and technical support for Smiths Hill Stage 3 Road Upgrade in the locality of Young.
